...When it comes to T&A. Particularly Rogue's... in this particular position... with Remy's hand lingering only very slightly north of her posterior.

...

In my humble opinion, it's still hot.

Hell, the pose is practically iconic. Or is that cliche? This makes the second twisted-back embrace with cards and the threat of exposed skin seen in a matter of months, the last incident being #204 of Adjectiveless. Thoughts? Third time's a charm, says I. Bring it on, Marvel. You can't do any worse with these two than you've done so far.

Look it that: it's barely midnight, it's Friday, and I'm home in one piece and (mostly) sober. How awesome is that? (No drunk and blog for me tonight. No sir. Just an FYI, if you visit Montreal at any point in time, and you're fortunate enough to get a seat on the terrace of the St. Elizabeth, remember to stir the Sangria. Lucia de'Medici IRL: propagating the "duh" moments for the amusement of others.)

Onwards.

Hey, "True Believers", you seen this yet?

Why, yes, that is Taylor Kitsch as Remy LeBeau.

Why, yes, this is me wetting myself with glee.

(Bigups to [info]irysangel and the kids at the GG for the linkage. The ever-growing GG thread is here.)

It's been a while since I've done one of these, and I'd like to keep something of a flow happening over the summer (since its the only time I seem to be able to read fanfiction at all). Fresh fan-to-fan recs, folks. (All Romy, all the time? Something like that.)

On the docket, in no particular order:

I )

II )

III )

ETA: Also, [info]brienze, I saw this and thought of you with a big O.O attached.

Once again? Thrilled. (Caps from the trailer for Wolverine and the X-Men below the cut.)

It was a breathy "buh!" followed by a thud as my stupid fangirl ass hit the floor.

(EEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! EEEEEEEEE!!! GUESS WHO'S ON THE ROSTER????!!!! EEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!)

ETA: After a few minutes of rationalizing that a) I am an adult and b) this is a children's show and c) I totally just woke up the dog with my high-pitched noises of joy, I'd also like to happily announce that this post was the first made on 24" of iMac d00m. (I'm mostly set up. Few things to work out before full functionality can be had again, but seriously... you wanna know how long it takes me to open Photoshop? Four seconds. *snicker hysterically* Four! Lordy... this is what I call luxury.)

Something that has nothing to do with April Fool's: I am totally and utterly insanely infatuated with Tim Riggins.

I've spent the better part of the last three days suctioned to my teevee watching the first season of Friday Night Lights. Love. Tim. Riggins. Love. Fangirl hoy.

I'm totally confident that he'll pull off Remy well. Guy can brood. *nods solemnly*

I can has season two naow, plees?

(Yes, my brain is fried. Utterly and completely.)

i. Should that be "Geeks bearing gifts"? Doesn't quite have the same resonance to it. Anyway, the surprise in the big wooden horse this time around is the potential for addiction, so proceed cautiously (it's free, though. So that should compensate, right?): iFanboy is love. I've been downloading the podcasts through Revision3, and I thought I ought to pass on the link. Time well wasted.

ii. Gambit in X-Men Legacy #13: I actually yawned at the prospect of another flashback. Meh.

iii. My daddy loves Indiana Jones. )

iv. The Man in Black (Stephen King): If there's one thing I love about The Dark Tower series, it's the overlap you find with King's other books. Sometimes the relative links are very thin, so you really need to think about what you know from the canonical seven books of the Dark Tower series (Insomnia, for example), and other times, the links are more obvious. (Everything's Eventual, or The Regulators, or Hearts in Atlantis - the shadow thrown by the Tower is far, ye ken?) Anyway, if you haven't caught the announcement yet: The Stand is being adapted to comic book. (Edit: The "links" between the two, The Stand and The Dark Tower are Flagg, or, Marten Broadcloak, also known as Walter: The man in black, and End-World, which appears in Wizard and Glass and The Gunslinger: Born.)

Welcome to End-World )
